Price is not cheap, but the taste is delicious! Prices exclude 10% tax ⏳ Be ready for long queues, especially during dinner. They’ll give you a number and call when it’s your turn — better to come early! ”
“ Considered the best Medanese kwayteow (rice noodle) in Surabaya. The place is always packed with customers, making it feel the dining room was not spacious enough. Locals are willing to queue for even more than an hour to get the table. We ordered the fried rice noodles, sloppy rice noodles (Kwetiau Siram) and the fried vermicelli (Bihun Goreng). All were with pork and seafood. This decision proved to be good decision as the savory taste of pork and the sweetness of seafood go well together. The pork meat was perfectly cooked, they were tender and flavorful. There were also the slices of sweet Chinese sausages. The seafood option comes in shrimp and fish balls, they complemented the dish well as the diner could experience different textures of the dish in every bite. The fried dumplings were also good, served freshly deep fried with shrimp and pork fillings. All in all, there is a reason why Apeng becomes Surabaya favorite for many years. Highly recommended to try. ”
“ This is legendary place in Surabaya, order the famous menu (kwetiau goreng and mie keriting) and Just found mi lebar and try, its pretty good, I can taste they use good ingredients for kwetiau goreng ”
“ I have to say, this is one of the best kwetiau spots I’ve truly enjoyed. No need for too many words, I just really loved the food here. The dishes were spot-on, and the service was great too. Don’t be put off by the queue, it moves pretty quickly, and the food comes out hot and fast. Honestly, no complaints. Totally recommend giving this place a try! ”
“ One of the food legends in Surabaya, and it’s the kind of spot that makes us want to come back every time we’re in town. It usually gets pretty crowded during meal times, so you might have to queue. But we came around 4 PM today—no line, and we found parking easily. We ordered: Stir-fried kway teow with pork & seafood (kwetiau goreng)– as good as always Stir-fried noodles with pork & seafood (bakmi goreng) – still tasty, but I’m definitely more of a kway teow fan Sweet iced tea – simple, classic, and hits the spot Service was friendly, and even though the place was a bit packed, everything was clean and well-kept. Will come back again next time we’re in Surabaya! ”
